Come to Wilderness Explorer Camp to meet Russell and Dug, from Disney-Pixar's Up. Search forested paths, try your hand at rock climbing and swing on rope bridges along the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail - an outdoor recreational area for Guests of all ages. Earn Wilderness Explorer badges along the way! Some challenges have age and height requirements. Wilderness Explorer Russell and Dug, the friendly dog from Disney-Pixar's Up, want to help you earn Wilderness Explorer badges while navigating forested paths, rock climbing, swinging on rope bridges and zipping down suspended slides.

The play area, along with appealing to kids, can also appeal to adults. It has many bird's eye views of the area with a lot of stairs and buildings leading up several stories. It is the Redwood Creek, so there are many spots of rivers and water crossing that give it a lovely appearance. Inside held the Magic of Brother Bear show, which is to be replaced with a Wilderness Explorers themed show based on Pixar's Up. This attraction includes a large network of stairs and rope bridges, a rock climbing area, large side-by-side slides, and bear characters interacting with younger park goers. Of particular interest are the animal tracks embedded into the cement sidewalks and signs to help visitors identify them.

Russell has left hints throughout the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail to help you receive your Wilderness Explorer badge. Collect the clues to get invited to the Senior Wilderness Explorer Ceremony.

Even the most intrepid explorer occasionally needs directions. Not to worry! The friendly park rangers will pass out a map of the entire Redwood Creek Challenge Trail near the entrance. Be sure to consult the detailed map - then head off into the wilds to complete your quest for badges in: Tracking, Bravery, Rock Climbing, Wolf Howl, Animal Spirit and Puzzel Solving.

Collect your badges and proceed to Ahwahnee Camp Circle for a special ceremony with Russell. Wilderness Explorer Ceremonies take place several times throughout the day. For show times, please check the Entertainment Schedule or the Entertainment Times Guide when you arrive at the park.
