Rustle up some grub - like cheeseburgers, wrapped sandwiches and salads. Located in Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn is a counter service restaurant that's big on atmosphere and indoor dining space.

This restaurant has remained basically unchanged since the Magic kingdom's opening back in '71, though the menu has undergone some improvements over the decades. The theming here is that of a wild west saloon, complete with rough-hewn rafter beams and western items on display in the dining areas. One dining room evokes the great southwest, with adobe walls and even an upstairs balcony overlooking the dining area (balcony is not accessible)--the Mexican influence is heavy here.

This restaurant includes several self-service order stations. These devices allow Guests to order from the full Pecos Bill menu using touch-screen technology, and then pay with room charge, Disney Dining Plan, or credit card--a handy way to have more registers open for Guests without needing the additional staff that would be required for ordinary registers.

Touring Tips

  • The food here is generally typical counter service fare, including burgers and similar sandwiches, but it's tasty and reasonably well prepared. A nice feature here is the "toppings bar," which includes tomato slices, lettuce, grated cheese, condiments, and even grilled onions which Guests can apply to their burgers (and taco salads).
  • Being a very large restaurant, this one tends to become crowded during meal hours.
  • This location has quick-service menu items or products that, upon request, may accommodate Guests' common food allergy or intolerance requirements.
