Come to this Mexican restaurant for fast taco salads and burritos. Counter Service dining featuring Mexican cuisine. The name translates to "The Pirate and the Parrot." Covered open air seating as is common South of the Border.
Tortuga Tavern was formerly known at El Pirata y el Perico Restaurant. The location changed it's name to Tortuga Tavern in early February 2011, retaining largely the same menu and decor.
Touring Tips
- Mexican food is a staple here, although the selection is mainly limited to burritos.
- Tortuga Tavern has tons of under-shade seating, plus plenty of open air tables that line Caribbean Plaza.
- Tortuga Tavern tends to be less crowded than Pecos Bill's, which is just around the corner in Frontierland, but it's hours tend to be more limited, and it may close early in the afternoon.
