Touring Tips

  • Mediterranean skewers of the mix-and-match variety, with your choices of steak, chicken, tofu, or ground beef for protein, and chili, chimichurri, yogurt, or tzatziki for sauces. Greek salad and baklava make up the bulk of your non-skewer menu items.
  • With an abundance of covered, shady seating, live bands, and roughly a jillion tiny lights decorating the surroundings, this is one of the most pleasant places in DCA to take a break for a quick meal.
  • The main dish is meat (or tofu) skewers with a variety of sauces; each guest picks a protein and an accompanying sauce, which is served over rice with a salad and pita bread on the side. The sauces range from spicy to creamy.
  • This locations shares a new 800-seat patio with Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, and Bayside Brews.

History

When Disney California Adventure Park opened, this corner was occupied by the local byproduct of a long-term marketing agreement between McDonald's and Disney. Although full scale McDonald's restaurants were common at Walt Disney World, to date Disneyland had only seen McDonald's french fries being sold inside the park and so this nearly full-on McDonalds wasn't without controversy even if it was called Burger Invasion. Once the marketing agreement with McDonald's came to an end in 2008 so did Burger Invasion. The seating area shared by Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta includes ground that was once occupied by the S.S. rustworthy water play area.
