Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a lakeside Disney Deluxe Resort featuring lush landscaping and the formal grace of a grand New England yacht club. Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a New England nautical-themed resort, at Walt Disney World. First opened on November 5, 1990, it is one of several Epcot Area Resorts. Disney's Yacht Club is located next to a sister resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, and across Crescent Lake from Disney's BoardWalk Resort. The resort is owned and operated by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. It was designed by Robert A.M. Stern.

Disney's Yacht and Beach Club resorts share amenities and resources, including staff and management. Boat transportation from the resort runs to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios as well as the BoardWalk and the Walt Disney World Swan & Walt Disney World Dolphin resorts. The resort is about five minutes walking distance from Epcot, and roughly 15 minutes walking to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Guests can use the back entrance to Epcot through the World Showcase between the France and the UK Pavilions.

Public areas, Guest rooms and suites are adorned in dark wood and wicker furniture, portholes and simulated captain's wheels. Cast Members are decked out in ship's crew regalia, including navy blazers and captain's hats.

Behind the Resort lie Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake. Stormalong Bay spans 3 acres, with water slides emerging from the life-size replica of a wrecked ship, lagoons, a slow river to float along in inner tubes and a sand-bottom pool. At 25-acre Crescent Lake, Guests can rent a variety of watercraft (such as pedal boats and pontoons) from the Bayside Marina, go on a fishing expedition or take a private cruise on the Breathless, where at night one might see fireworks.

Stretch out and relax on white-sand shores. Discover the rustic charm of the Yachtsman Steakhouse as you savor mouthwatering steaks, seafood, chicken and lamb dishes. Enjoy state-of-the-art Nautilus and Hammer Strength exercise equipment at the Ship Shape Health Club and then unwind with a rejuvenating massage.

Recreation
  • Stormalong Bay - The resorts' main pool complex that resembles a beach-side water park with its sand-bottom pools, a circular lazy river, waterfall, and the "Shipwreck"; a large replica of a ship wreck with one of the highest resort water slides at Walt Disney World. The pool complex offers a poolside counter-service restaurant and bar, a children's shallow area, and an elevated tanning deck. It is centrally located between both resorts facing Crescent Lake.
  • Quiet pool - The "quiet pool" is located on the far end of the resort in a garden area. Guests who prefer a more tranquil experience can choose from 3 quiet pools. Disney's Beach Club Resort pool is in a garden area facing Crescent Lake, and also includes a steaming jacuzzi. Disney's Yacht Club Resort pool can be found in its own quiet garden area. A third pool is located in the Beach Club Villas, all Resort Guests are welcome. An additional spa is found in the Ship Shape Health Club.
  • Lafferty Place Arcade - Lafferty Place Arcade is a high-tech game room located in the Yacht & Beach Club Common area. Buzzing and blinking with exciting gameplay, Lafferty Place brings you both classic arcade favorites and the latest in video gaming entertainment.
  • The white sands on the shores of scenic Crescent Lake offer a perfect place to run, tan and play. Watch the light play across the faceted surface of the water as the sun sets, and when night falls, delight in the sight of the illuminated boardwalk across the way.
  • Sandcastle Club - The Sandcastle Club is a supervised activity center that keeps children laughing and playing the whole evening through while parents roam out for a carefree night on the town. The Club accommodates children ages 3 to 12, entertaining them with arts and crafts, computer games, Disney movies, dinner and snacks in a lively environment created just for them.
  • The Ship Shape Health Club offers state-of-the-art Nautilus and Hammer Strength exercise equipment. Do some body-pampering with skin care and hair services, saunas and steam rooms and deeply therapeutic massage therapy. Please note that spa services include a surcharge (starting at $50 USD) and require an appointment. Open 24 hours a day with an attendant present from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Guests wanting 24-hour access to the club must meet with an attendant to sign a waiver and obtain a 24-hour access key. Resort Guests must be 14 years of age or older to use the facilities, and Guests 14 to 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • Yachtsman Steakhouse - Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a dinner restaurant boasting high-grade steaks, succulent seafood, free-range chicken and juicy lamb dishes. The menu is rounded out with innovative children's choices for a satisfying family dining experience. Watch chefs prepare your meal in the open kitchen as you relax in leather seats amongst gleaming brass and polished woodwork beneath knotty-pine beams. This Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts restaurant is a top-deck experience for the entire family! The Yachtsman Steakhouse takes special care of children's tastes with a menu that sports finger-licking grilled chicken strips, baked fish, pasta and grilled sirloin steak.
  • Beaches & Cream Soda Shop - Listen to favorites on the classic jukebox while savoring sandwiches, burgers and irresistible ice cream desserts.
  • Beach Club Marketplace - Located in the lobby of Disney's Beach Club Resort, this market and bakery offers fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, and straight-from-the-oven pastries, breads and desserts.
  • Cape May Cafe - Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort offers all-you-care-to-eat buffets at breakfast and dinner in a lively, beach-themed restaurant. As you dine, enjoy the nostalgic New England décor and seaside setting of Disney's Beach Club Resort.
  • Captain's Grille - Captain's Grille offers an a la carte or breakfast buffet, lunch, dinner and children's menu of sizzling seafood and American classics at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Cast off for fabulous fare at this charming nautical-themed cafe that serves a hearty menu perfect for land lubbers of all ages. Start your day with the all-you-care-to-eat buffet, or, if you have a smaller appetite, opt for a la carte. At lunch, savor such sumptuous sandwiches as classic New England lobster roll and grilled ahi tuna. Cap your day on a high-seas note with a wide selection of steaks and seafood.
  • Crew's Cup Lounge - For a light bite and drink, slip into this sailing-themed lounge that features beer and wine from the world's famous seaports.
  • Ale & Compass Lounge - Continental style, a la carte breakfasts are served in this classy setting. The evening brings a selection of premium liquors, beer and wine.

Touring Tips

  • The Yacht Club is slightly more formal in decor than the Beach Club, designed to make guests feel as if they are actually on a ship rather than inside a land based structure, and to cater more toward business clientele, rather than families.
  • In addition to all the fun of Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake, there's a 24-hour high-tech game room. And don't forget to take advantage of the Sandcastle Club, a supervised activity center for children ages 3-12 that affords parents a carefree night on the town (Additional fee required).
  • Complimentary transportation is available one hour prior to Disney Theme Park opening time up to one hour after Disney Theme Park closing time. Additionally, buses operate until 2:00 a.m. from the Downtown Disney Area. Certain areas of Walt Disney World Resort are also connected by well-lit, paved, low-grade walking paths.
  • Room service at Disney's Yacht Club Resort is available 24 hours a day. Choose from breakfast, lunch and dinner items and snack items like pizza and nachos or fruit and vegetable platters.
  • Periwig's Beauty and Barber Shop, a unisex salon, is located between Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Call (407) 934-3260 for information.
  • Located in Disney Yacht Club Resort's lobby, Fittings&Fairings, Clothes&Notions sells sundries and other items, including sunscreen, film and disposable cameras, and baby food and formula. Same-day film processing and souvenirs are also available.
  • Babysitting and child services are available at Disney's Yacht Club Resort—keep your children having fun, even when you can't be there. Located next door in Disney's Beach Club Resort, the Sandcastle Club is a supervised activity center for children ages 3 to 12 that is open daily from 4:30 p.m. to midnight. Together with independent childcare provider Kids Nite Out, Disney's Yacht Club Resort also offers one-to-one in-room babysitting. You can even reserve a childcare specialist to accompany you and your family during your visit to the Parks, providing a helping hand. Childcare is available for children ages 6 months to 12 years.
  • Hidden Mickeys can be found in the carpeting in hallways leading to guest rooms. The globe located in the lobby was specifically created for Disney's Yacht Club Resort and was designed to resemble the styles of globes from the 19th century, but it includes fictitious names and places—and even a hidden Mickey.
