Tike's Peak

Tike's Peak is a special play area just for preschoolers and little kids at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Your little ones will have mountains of fun at this water wonderland made just for them. This preschooler play area offers scaled-down, kid-sized slides that resemble the bigger waterslides of Mount Gushmore. The wading pool at Tike's Peak is very shallow, with a snow-castle fountain and pop-up water jets for tots to splash and play near. Children must be less than 48 inches tall to play at Tike's Peak.

Touring Tips

• Tike's Peak is located on the ground level away from Mount Gushmore on the other side of Cross Country Creek.
• This is the only area where very young kids can get to play.
• Tike's Peak features gentle slides designed to resemble scaled down versions of attractions at Blizzard Beach. Also included is a snow-castle fountain play area with pop (water) jets. Picnic benches also provided. Footwear is suggested due to hot pavement.
• Any time of year that the park is open is a good time to visit, but it does get very hot and very crowded during the summer peak season. There are two better times to arrive, shortly before the park opens, and in the warmer months when the park is open at night, its best to get there mid to late afternoon. If you want to go for the morning/early afternoon, it is essential to arrive by park opening time, particularly in the warmer months.
• Weekdays, the nearer to the beginning of the week the better. Later in the week, Blizzard Beach attracts the people who typically spend the beginning of the week at the major parks. Local residents tend to keep things busy on the weekends.

Facts

• Highly trained and qualified lifeguards are on duty over the course of the day patrolling the Water Park. All Disney lifeguards must complete a thorough training program that exceeds most national standards.
