Teamboat Springs

Disney's Blizzard Beach

  • Type: Thrill Ride
Height: Any Height
Experience: Mild but Wild Rides

Teamboat Springs is a family raft ride for big kids, teens and adults at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Bring the gang aboard and take a rollicking ride down a series of cascading waterfalls. With rafts that accommodate up to 6 Guests, the whole family can ride this one together. At 1,200 feet long the Teamboat Springs whitewater raft ride is one of the longest family raft rides in the country, giving you a nice long, invigorating journey down the river. Remember, the family that rafts together, laughs together!

Teamboat Springs is the world's longest "family white-water raft ride". This attraction sends guests down a twisting series of rushing waterfalls. Water Park guests sit in large blue rubber rafts, which can hold a minimum of 4 and maximum of six people, equipped with handles to hold on while the gushing water takes you down the slide.

The ride begins at the top of Mt. Gushmore, where families and friends can ride together in large inflatable rafts. The raft travels through twists and turns, through great landscape, and ultimately splashes down in a pool at the bottom.

Touring Tips

  • To get to Teamboat Springs ride the Chairlift to the top of Mount Gushmore or take the stairway path and follow the signs to the attractions at the Green Slope area of the mountain.
  • This ride is a good place for kids too big for Tike's Peak to test more grown-up waters. Those seeking a speedier descent, however, may want to venture higher up Mt. Gushmore.
  • This is an excellent ride for the whole family: there are no age or height requirements (other than "no infants"), tubes seat four to six people, and lines generally move quickly. On busy days, though, waits can be 30 to 45 minutes.
  • As with all water parks, this attraction can and will get very busy on the hot summer days. We recommend riding this as soon as possible if you didn't want to wait in line.
  • Any time of year that the park is open is a good time to visit, but it does get very hot and very crowded during the summer peak season. There are two better times to arrive, shortly before the park opens, and in the warmer months when the park is open at night, its best to get there mid to late afternoon. If you want to go for the morning/early afternoon, it is essential to arrive by park opening time, particularly in the warmer months.
  • Weekdays, the nearer to the beginning of the week the better. Later in the week, Blizzard Beach attracts the people who typically spend the beginning of the week at the major parks. Local residents tend to keep things busy on the weekends.
