Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure

"Honey I Shrunk the Kids" Movie Set Adventure is a colossal 11,000 square-foot play area for little ones and preschoolers in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park.

It is located in the Streets of America area and is based on the 1989 film, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Surrounded by 30-foot tall blades of grass, oversized mushrooms, 40-foot tall bumblebees and a huge 52-foot leaking garden hose, children can explore the root maze tunnels, sit on a giant ant and slide down larger-than-life film strips, flower petals and tree stumps.

With monumental movie props and play structures inspired by the Disney movie, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, get the sense of what it feels like to be shrunk to bug size by Professor Szalinkski's Electromagnetic Shrinking Machine. Climb, crawl and explore the larger-than-life playground that has:

• 52-foot long leaking water hose that sprays
• 40-foot tall bumblebees
• 30-foot tall blades of grass
• Jumbo plant-root mazes
• Slides made from oversized film strips

Touring Tips

• The Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure is for children 4 years and older. Smaller adults may be able to move around in the tunnels and slides, but the areas really are scaled for children.
• While not an actual attraction, kids can make their own fun in this 11,000-square foot play area based on the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" movie.
• There's a map at the entrance of the playground to help you figure out just which areas you want to explore!
• Be sure not to miss the sniffing dog's nose! But beware - he also snorts!
• There's no time limit at this attraction - the hardest part may be coaxing your child out of the play area!
• This is a great place for kids to let off steam and just run around for awhile. Be warned, it's easy to lose sight of the little guys. Cast Members are stationed at entrances and exits, to ensure that children leaving the area are accompanied by their parents.
