Cross Country Creek is a slow, water raft ride in a continuously flowing stream that encircles Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Grab an inner tube raft, put your feet up and chill out in this gently meandering stream that flows around the perimeter of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Pass through polar caves, large cave-like tunnels, and under gentle, misty waterfalls as your raft drifts aimlessly along.

Big kids, teens and adults can ride at their leisure and let the world drift slowly by, or use Cross Country Creek for effortless transportation to other areas of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. There are 7 locations to enter and exit Cross Country Creek.

The Cross Country Creek is a 3,000-foot slow-moving water attraction commonly known as a "lazy river," that travels around the perimeter of the water park. The attraction carries floating guests (in inner tubes) through a bone-chilling ice cave. Once inside the mysterious cave, guests will be splashed with the "melting" ice from overhead. There are 7 entrances and exits located throughout the park for this attraction, and any of these locations guests may pick up tubes and leave them as they exit the creek. The journey takes between twenty and thirty minutes to complete depending on crowd levels.

On this journey, Guests will float through caves, cave-like tunnels, and under gentle waterfalls. There are seven entrances/ exits, each of which have rafts available to grab for your entrance, or leave at when you exit. Use Cross Country Creek as a relaxing trip around the park, or as a means of transportation from one part of the park to another.

Touring Tips

  • Cross Country Creek is located at ground level and rafts are included with the price of admission. Grab a raft just about anywhere along the creek's route to soak up the sun and go with the flow.
  • Cross Country Creek is a nice, relaxing break in your day. One of the great parts about taking a trip around the park in Cross Country Creek is that you are essentially getting some down time or time to catch your breath, but while you are doing this, you are still participating in an attraction.
  • If you want a relatively clear travel down the creek, you might want to make this one of the first attractions you participate in, otherwise, it can get a little crowded.
  • You can go at your own pace; let the current take you, or gently propel yourself.
  • Any time of year that the park is open is a good time to visit, but it does get very hot and very crowded during the summer peak season. There are two better times to arrive, shortly before the park opens, and in the warmer months when the park is open at night, its best to get there mid to late afternoon. If you want to go for the morning/early afternoon, it is essential to arrive by park opening time, particularly in the warmer months.
  • Weekdays, the nearer to the beginning of the week the better. Later in the week, Blizzard Beach attracts the people who typically spend the beginning of the week at the major parks. Local residents tend to keep things busy on the weekends.

Facts

  • Highly trained and qualified lifeguards are on duty over the course of the day patrolling the Water Park. All Disney lifeguards must complete a thorough training program that exceeds most national standards.
